SMPS COMPATABILITY

I have ordered MSI ATX z370 PRO Gaming Motherboard and I need an SMPS recommendation

I am going to install gtx 1070 ti later on so please suggest me a decent SMPS

 

Does the choice of SMPS vary from one motherboard to another?

I had to google wtf is SMPS, just call it PSU, get max 450w corsair bronze, seasonic and  you are good to go

any psu will fit you motherboard and gpu

For the motherboard, there should be no compatibility issues, all PSU's today come with 24 pin and EPS 8 pin connectors which are standard on all mainstream motherboards. Motherboards and PSU's that belong to proprietary systems (some OEM pre builts like Dell or HP) might use proprietary connectors.

 

For GPU's, supplementary power connector types on the GPU itself comes in the form of single 6 pin or 8 pin, or dual 6 pin or 8 pin (sometimes a six pin and an eight pin) these are all also standard.
