GTX 1070 Strix or Windforce OC

Hey guys, I'm Chris from Perú and I'm buying one of these cards but can't make a decision about wich one. I know the Strix is a little bit faster and RGB (first time on it) but does it really worth the extra $50 bucks (of course they are second hand)?

Strix has a better cooler. If you're on a tighter budget, I would get the Windford OC.

The Strix will overclock higher due to a better cooler.

 

I honestly wouldn't stress about overclocking too much, most people don't need one.

I would go for the 1070 Strix simply because I trust ASUS (and their customer service) much more than Gigabyte. Obviously, that is a more subjective argument and depends on your geographical location but I come across more Gigabyte relates issues then ASUS. To be clear, both cards will perform at the same level. Although, you might have a bit more OC headroom when using the Strix do to its cooler design.

 

It really depends on you and your budget.

Thank you all. My buddy made me a discount of 80 bucks for the Windforce so I paid $350. He was mining with 6 of them and the card runs perfect and still have 8 months guarantee.
