My mysterious HDD

OutlawedConsole
Go to solution Solved by bchampion96,

In that case, click the thingn in disk management that has the black top to it and do 'new simple volume' or 'format'. You're formatting it so you can put data on it basically. should be straighforward

My hdd registers in BIOS and I can hear it running. I pull up windows 8 and go into disk management, I can see it there too but while my ssd has a blue bar on top of the info, my hdd's is black. I go into my computer and it doesn't show up. How do I fix this? It's a WD black 2 tb in case anyone wants to know
