The 850 EVO is a great SSD and the current street price for it is $150. So I'd say that's a good deal.

depends on if you need it or not, it is a good price for that ssd but if you already have a ssd you can also save the money and spend it on something else.

Walmart had the 1TB 860 EVO for about $152 yesterday.  I skipped it though (and it was sold out by the time I looked.)  I already have two 1TB Crucial MX300s, I'm holding out until I can get a cheap 1-2TB NVMe/3D X-point or 4-8TB SATA SSD.  (The 3D X-point version, or whatever the generic / brand-agnostic name for Optane is, would need to be compatible with Haswell era boards, as that's what my desktop still is for the next 3-4 years or so.)

The 850 for that price isn't bad at all but the 860 500gb has been going for between $100-$130 lately so I'd go for that instead for only a few dollars more.
