Best CPU for single thread task

Hey I was wondering what cpu i should get?

My goal would be to have THE best pc for SINGLE THREAD TASK and poorly coded that only use one thread(like "Realm of the mad god", I can freaking play and record GTA V max setting at 50-60 fps but i can't just play realm of the mad god it their is a lot of poeple without lag xD i am sure i will still lag  with the new pc but a bit less)

I would delid the cpu in question put some liquid metal and put the ihs back, lap the cpu and use a custom loop to cool the beast, after that, i would overclock it as far as i can.

I don't care about the price of the cpu in question or the price of the orher component by the way

Probably the i7 8700K or i5 8600K, especially when overclocked.

The i7 8700k At 5GHZ, but isn't there mods to make the games multithread? Many of my old games have community made fixes, that make them multicore. But if it is some sort of obscure game then the 8700k is probably your only option.

For the best CPU for purely single threaded tasks, I would go for the i7 8700K and overclock the hell out of it.

so the i7 8700k even with more base core than the i3 7350k for example? I would of thaugt something like an i3 7350k would of been better since it has less core to give power i thaugt it would of give me more room to overclock

5.6ghz pentium 4

jokes aside I was able to get a 7350K to 5.3 ghz on a fairly basic z170 board, and that thing crushed my 7600K in benchmarks for single threaded workloads(not surprising I guess)

Daily Driver: Asus ROG Flow X13 - 5900HS/3050 Ti

Primary Desktop: NCase M1 - 5800X3D/RX 6950XT

Travel PC: Fractal Terra - 5800X/RTX 3060 Ti

I have too many computers. List here.
