First off, don't mine bitcoin directly. It's difficulty is too high. Either mine altcoins, or try something like Nicehash on your pc. If you know what you're doing, then i'd recommend mining an altcoin directly on your pc. If you are entirely new to this mining stuff, download Nicehash on your PC. It has an easy-to-use GUI and is beginner friendly. Mining on your phone is typically a scam. Not only will the heat kill the phone in a few months, but most of the app developers have large fees meaning that they might take 20% of whatever you mine with their app on your phone and you keep the 80%. Also profitability is a joke with a phone. You're probably losing more money charging it.

You don't mine bitcoin with computers or phones anymore. 

You mine other coins. 

The classic Nicehash software automatically picks up some coin your computer is capable of mining and your computer is mining those coins, then at some point the software sends these coins to Nicehash and they convert them in fractions of bitcoin and give you that bitcoin.

 

Instead of giving Nicehash some percentage of what your computer makes and lose additional money when you withdraw bitcoins from them, you can avoid the middle man and mine directly. If you have AMD cards, Ethereum would be a good coin to mine.

 

I don't have time to go into details about how to start mining, what software to install etc. I would suggest starting with https://ethermine.org/

It's a mining pool. You set up the software using their guide, you leave the pc mining, and once you mine at least 0.01 ETH they send the value to your wallet (use wallets like Exodus or Jaxx or others for wallets, when you install the software they automatically create a ETH wallet for you).

With a single AMD video card like RX 570, it may take 10-15 days to mine 0.01 ETH if you leave the pc running 24/7 ... so you won't earn more than a few dollars a day after paying for electricity.

You can then convert this ETH coin to dollars through various methods ...

Well I suggest to take a look at ICO Pulse information source, there are many articles on this subject. I have some BTC and now I prefer to invest in ico projects like Crystal. The platform will aim to resolve the burning issues of the industry that have hampered its development over the longer term: territorial fragmentation, unhealthy competition, significant entry barriers, unjustified commissions.
