Best build for 4K Gaming?

wait what its cheaper? tf it wasnt cheaper a day ago!!

On PCPP armor is cheapest at $750 and the amp is at $785 along with the others.

20 minutes ago, YourNewPalAlex said:

also i dont care how loud it is, i just dont want it fucking not working in a year or so bcuz of heat issues. (that happend to my laptops dedicated gpu :I)

If you run the armor at max fan speeds it should be OK at stock, which will be like 1800 mhz in games. You might lose out on 5-10% extra FPS you could get with ocing on a better cooler.

The difference is only $35 compared to a $750 card though.... A drop in the bucket if you ask me.

Ugh okay then. So how about this, make a build with a 1080 ti and 16 gigs of ram but with an 8600K or if you can, something even better

If you can afford it I say go for it although I'd look at an R5 2600.

Just remember that ultras settings are not every thing:

If you want to replace the i5 8400 for an i7 8700 and the 1070 Ti for a 1080 Ti that's cool it'll give you improved performance for the ultras eye candy but frankly speaking if you're on a tighter budget there's no need for it... specially if you want just 60fps.

I would still highly recommend an ultrawide 3440x1440p even if 60hz too though as this offers much more immersive gaming experience, 4k at 28 inches is identical to 2560x1440p you only gain pixel density like a super sampling at a very high cost of performance... no particularly worth it, I prefer the extra virtual space you gain going 21:9

2600 is a better CPU than the 8600K overall. Matches it in gaming and beats it in everything else, plus AMD has promised to support AM4 till at least 2020 so longer upgrade cycles.

Ram is over priced and cpu’s Cost more and should only be bought once. By that logic get the best cpu you can and upgrade the ram later.

Wrong, 8GB is not enough in 2018 for anything above super budget rigs

you sure?

Thats the i5-8400. And the intel chip still beats the ryzen. So i would imagine that the i5-8600K creams the r5 2600

I never said buy slow ram I was saying buy the extra 8 later.

And to the comment that 8gb isn’t enough, sure. But if you’re buying 16gb you’re still buying 2 8gb sticks. Buying one later doesnt hurt you.

but finding out your $300 cpu isn’t enough and you have to spend another $350 to replace it does.
