Yeah, it can kill everything it is connected to.

CPU, mobo, ram, ssd's, everything.

Yes, there’s a good chance that a faulty PSU can damage the entire system

 

Thats why it is absolutely important to choose a good quality PSU. Do not choose based on brand itself but based on the model and its reputation

Depends

On the PSU, the Fault/how it dies, Age and so on....

Depends on Age and quality of the PSU.

If its an older unit or low quality, its possible to damage the Hardware.

I had one take out everything except my storage drives. Went down to get a drink, came back to a smell of burning. Tested out all the components on another build I had lying around to make sure what worked.

 

Was annoying but a good excuse to upgrade everything
