Phone not supercharging after milk spilt

DrThots

I just slipped and spilt some milk on my phone. Only a bit of milk got into my charger of HUAWEI MATE 10 and now it is just charging. Not Super fast charging like it normally is. Is it the milk that got spilt onto it? I tried cleaning it and drying it with a tissue and it looks like most of it has gone. I tried replugging, reconnecting the head but still no super fast charging

Wait did the milk got into the phone charging port, or into the phone charger(the external brick)?

It may have gone in some sort of safe mode - unfortunately I don't know of any way to fix it if that's the case.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

It was probably unrelated to the spill then.

Is this normal, and if not, how much will it cost for a normal company to repair it

The milk might be the issue here. If you have experience opening up cellphones I'd crack it open and see what you can do. Otherwise send it back to Huawei and pray they just fix it and don't notice the liquid damage.

Alternatively, if you don't care, just use headphones.

but i cant open it up without having to buy another adhesive and snazz like that. I can use a warranty but its from china so i have to ship it to china or go there and get it repaired.

I mean, you have 3 options that I can see here:

Don't get it fixed and just deal with it

Send it back to Huawei and hope for a warranty repair

Get it repaired at somewhere like Micro Center which will cost you
