OC Ram on Ryzen

Hey everyone, when I turn on the XMP Profile for my pc I get my Ram to perform at its rated speed however it increases my PC Post time from power button pressed to bios splash page from 8 seconds to 15 seconds. During the 15 seconds, the PC spins the fans very high then off for three cycles while it goes through post checks and q codes, im pretty sure its the same cycle repeated 3 times. When not OC the ram, it only does this once. Im using the Asrock x470 Taichi, Flare X 3200, and RM750x Corsair PSU. Is this normal behavior? I absolutely hate that I have to wait 15 secs with a black screen. My Alienware PC was instant, my Vaio laptop is instant. This is the only one that takes about 15 seconds, I time it every time.

Update the BIOS first, then retry

 

If that doesnt help, reduce the frequency to 3000 or 2933, then retry

It sounds to me like the board is training the memory. It shouldn't have to do that every single time though unless it's off a cold boot. You aren't shutting the pc down by unplugging it, are you?

No, im not I simply shut it down. You are 100% right though, this only happens on a cold boot. If the computer was quickly restarted this does not happen

Its not practical to overclock your ram, if you're lucky you might get 10%. Usually it's only like 3-5% increase.

Your ram is probably on the verge of stability than. See if you could increase the SOC voltage a little as that might help with stability. Try setting it to 1.1 v, and if it's already at 1.1, try 1.15

The C6H did the same for me for several bios updates. Its called the cold boot loop. Its training the memory. Finally the last bios update fixed it for me and I am able to run my Gskills at its 3000mhz with no loop. Selecting DOCP and setting voltage to 1.15 also helped for me.
