Need help, am a Begginer

Hey guys, I am going to be building my first gaming pc and I was wondering if my build was ok. I am planning to keep it under or at $1300. I am planning to play games like COD, csgo, overwatch, rust and maybe some games like assassins creed. I do not need to have the games at the best settings. Please recommend any changes! Keep in mind that I am very new to this so please use language I could understand

1. You can get windows for like 30 bucks on other websites like ebay, reddit. Should save you quite a bit.
2. Don't need the pure rock slim, the intel stock cooler should  be able to do the job

PSU looks solid, same with GPU, but I highly recommend you squeeze a 240GB SSD in if possible.

Much cheaper mobo and case, got better RAM for cheaper, switched out the PSU since NEX is not good, and used the extra money to add an SSD and put in a 1080.

 

You could also consider getting windows from kinguin or just use windows without a product key to save some money, but if kinguin is too sketch and you want an activated copy buying it straight out is also ok.

 

If $1350 is too much to spend you could also switch it to a 1070 ti

It should be OK especially since you don't need to OC. Spending as much on the motherboard as your CPU seemed like a bit of a waste

1070 ti has more CUDA cores; close to that of the 1080. However, stuff like memory bandwidth is that of a 1070. It performs in between a 1070 and 1070 ti.

 

The 1070 ti I originally linked (the Duke) should be OK and is at a decent price.

A 1060 would be about 2/3 the performance of a 1070 ti. In other words, the 1070 ti is 50% faster.
