Bios is not fully compliant with acpi

Go to solution Solved by Valkyrie Lenneth,

To resolve this behavior, contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain a BIOS that is fully ACPI compliant.

To work around this behavior, manually install the Standard PC hardware abstraction layer (HAL):

  1. Restart the computer to restart Setup.
  2. When Setup starts again, press F7 (not F6) when you see the "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" screen.
Windows automatically disables the installation of the ACPI HAL and installs the Standard PC HAL.

So a couple of days ago I got a computer from a well known Serbian tech website called WinWin. When it arrived I tried to install Windows 7 on it,the first file loading screen went fine but when I got to the boot screen with the windows logo it gave me a blue screen error that said "Your bios is not fully compliant with the devices acpi" or something like that, the bios version is 3.10 i don't have any screenshots because I'm at work but if you guys need it I'll send them as soon as I get back :) Thanks in advance -Steven

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

"Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life.

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.
