cs:go Will fps_max 0 bottleneck CPU or GPU in CS:GO?

Hello guys! So lets say I have fps_max 0 on for more fps. Is there any down sides? I mean the game itself is set at max 300 fps. But does anything happen to the cpu or gpu as I mentioned. Will it decrease or increase the usage?

CS:GO is CPU limited. The GPU will scale with it until the CPU hits its max though, so both components will heat up more.

There is no benefit to having more than 300fps. Maybe a few nanoseconds less input lag, but that's about it.

launch options:

-console -novid -high -threads 4 -tickrate 128 fps_max 144 (if you have a 144 hz monitor)

 

fps max 0 = no limit, will work fine
