Computer locking up when GPU Folding

So Currently I am foldingon just my I5-3570k and getting ~17k ppd. I want to put my new Asus GTX 650ti Boost to good use though. Whenever I add the GPU as a slot it will fold for a couple of minutes then my PC will completely lock up and I have to restart. Any idea what the cause of this could be? Silverstone 850w Strider Gold PSU so I doubt it's that. Card was OC'ed out of the box but even when I went to the stock Nvidia clocks it still locked up. Windows 8.1 latest folding client.

What temperatures are you hitting?

CPU is custom loop watercooled and runs about 50C. Gpu runs about 55C also. Asus dcii cooler with custom fan profile.

Hmm, so temps don't appear to be the problem.

Do you get the same problem in other applications (not folding)?

AC IV locks up but bf3, fc3, batman, splinter cell and bfbc2 don't. Also ac is only sporadic where as folding is all the time so I'm chalking that one up to the game...

Could be memory issues? That would be my next guess.

I would have thought so too, but it only happens when GPU is being used, CPU folding 24/7 for the past 6 months and no problem. I have 16GB 1333mhz crucial ballistic sport.

could just be the gpu hope not but my gtx 660ti refuses to fold anymore after months of folding. try reinstalling folding at home and drivers and see if that fixes the issue.

Sounds like the memory on the card itself is a bit doggy. If still under warranty, I would contact the manufacturer.
