What happens if you try and update the metadata (Right-click and pick "Edit info")?

Is the information filled?

Apps are updated independently from Windows 10 versions. Check the Store app, click on "..." then on "Download and Updates", then on "Get Updates", to fetch the latest versions of apps.

it was the micro sd fault, i just found out now

I formatted the micro sd and copying my music again

it now works

I recently updated my Surface to version 1803

and right now any music I added to groove show "unknown album" and "unknown artist"

I tried reseting groove music but still won't work

I have this same issue and I'm using an SD card - I can't format the SD card and the card isn't defective in any way.

Also, some of the music is showing up correctly, but most of it isn't.

I fixed my problem by reseting Groove Music, by right clicking on it in the start menu then going to its settings and scrolling down to 'Reset'
