Hey, i have a fractal design define r5 case and i am considering upgrading my 6700 kaby lake to 8700k coffee lake then i will need to buy a z370 so im going to buy asus rog strix z370-f. Will it fit in my case? and will i have to buy new thermal paste and cpu fan?

Yes

Unless your'e using the stock fan, you should be able to reuse any aftermarket fan that is compatible with the 6700k, as it's the same as the 8700k Mounting wise. You Will have to replace the thermal paste though.
