Monitor flickers when a phone is nearby

Foxyh

So i have been plagued by my monitor flickering for a while now and just recently i discovered it was caused by my phone being nearby my monitor. I dont have my phone next or on my monitors stand anymore and no more flickering and as soon as i put my ohone near it, it starts to flicker.

Also putting the phone on airplane mode removes the flicker of the display.

It dosent vother me anymore but i just want to know if this is something that dosent happen that rarely and can it mean that the display is breaking down?

Display: ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q

Thanks in advance for the answers

This means the shielding of the monitor isn't doing its job. It's supposed to be shielded against the electromagnetic field created by the antennas in your phone and sent out by other electrical devices nearby. RMA the monitor.

My monitor does it as well but only when i get a call.

And it doesn't exactly flicker it just turns off until the call stops or i put the phone somewhere else, sometimes it comes back, sometimes it don't, it depends :D

Anyway, you can try to RMA it but i'm not sure if they'll do something about it.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Okay, i will try to RMA it.

But why would the monitor start doing it randomly, it worked for for some while and only started noticing it a few months ago and started seeing it more and more.
