Need an advice about monitor

Hello. I am thinking of buying a new monitor but I need some professional help. Currently I have Samsung LS24E390HLO FHD PLS monitor with a refresh rate of 60Hz. I play video games everyday and somewhere I heard that Higher is the monitor refresh rate, better it is for gaming. After having watched some videos on YouTube, including ones from "Techquickie", I decided to look for an FHD IPS monitor with a refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz. How do you think, is it a good idea or not? Does it really make significant difference in games and should I look for 144Hz monitors only or 120Hz will still be a good upgrade from 60Hz?

first, what are your specs. it's nice to know if your pc can handle it at all before diving more into the monitors

Yes there's a noticable difference.. Even your mouse movement feels more smoother on 144Hz than on 120Hz in general.. Once you buy higher refresh monitor you never will regret it tbh xD

There are no 120+ Hz IPS monitors at that resolution.

There are some decent VA monitors though, like the Samsung C24FG73.

OOPS, my bad. But this brings up the question, why are there 4K 144hz IPS displays but no 1080p 144hz IPS displays?

you will most likely have to turn down settings, towards medium, in big titles to get the 144fps. if you don't mind that then i'd say get a monitor with a Va panel, so that colors are pretty decent.

100hz+ vs 60hz is supposedly a nice upgrade. haven't seen it for myzelf, but only heard good things about it
