Solid color screen when gaming

When i try to open up a game such as fortnite or pubg, my screen will turn a solid color(blue, green, orange, pink) but it never black screens or has the typical blue screen crash. When this happens it shows a little dvi symbol at the top left of my screen and i can still hear the audio that's playing. When i restart my pc it'll fix the problem for a while but its starting to happen more frequently, like every hour. Making it impossible to get anything done, please help!

This is likely either a cable malfunction or an overclock that went too far.
