Gtx 1050 or 1050 ti

Modernworld47

I am debating over a 1050 or a 1050ti, I know that the 1050ti will have better performance but I want to run games like over watch, cs-go, fortnite(I know cringy) and I am not going for anything like at 150fps more like 70-80fps and I am wondering on which card I should get for that amount of performance?

I think the 1050 will achieve that. Maybe not at High settings, but for those specific games it will do the job.

I had a laptop with a 650M and I got 60+ in CSGO and around 50 in Overwatch 75% render scale.

Are you building a new PC or upgrading a current one?

What's the budget/country for everything in either case?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Yeah what’s your budget? CSGO is pretty easy to run, I have a 1050 ti OC Edition and I am running that with 300 fps on most maps.

Depends on the game TBH.

RX 560's can be had for ~$50 less with performance falling somewhere between 1050 and 1050 Ti.  Getting a good one is a problem though, especially after AMD allowed vendors to rebrand RX 460's as RX 560's.  Make sure to find a 1024 shader one if you go this route.

Thanks, I might just wait to build a computer so that hopefully Gpu prices go down so I can buy a 1050ti and have no problem with games

You'd honestly be fine with a 1050, and with mining inflation, there's more of a gap between the two in price than there probably should be.  Should be enough to do what you want.  If you want to really beat the heat of the prices maybe even go for an older system that uses ddr3 ram.
