Macbook Pro Logic board desktop

I want to build a desktop using a used MacBook Pro logic board. I think I have everything but I'm not sure.

I have ready to buy the logic board, battery, fans, and 2 USB-C boards.

Do I need anything else besides the case, monitor, mouse, and keyboard?

Yes. You need a battery as well. Without a battery, MacBooks will run at the lowest CPU multiplier available,  and don't forget the trackpad thermal sensor.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but for 1000$ wouldn’t you be better off buying a new pc? Or if you want Macos, building a Hackintosh?

You'd be right. It can be done, but for the total price of the parts, you could actually buy an iMac.

Yeah but an iMac with an i5 and and only 2 thunderbolt ports and no Touch ID. In the MacBook desktop you can choose your screen.
