Original Xbox Won't Start

ERT4

Hello, my Xbox won't start up when I press the start button. the power supply looks fine but maybe I can't see it. nothing happens it just won't power on.

It could be any of the other components stopping it from turning on. It doesnt necessarily mean power supply is bad.

look over the board  for any leaks, blown capacitors, scratches.

 

Also it is old, and sometimes electronics just give up.

Dead CPU, Dead GPU, dead Voltage regulator, shorted cap (mostly Ceramic), failed Control IC, failed memory, bad solder joints.

Then I would just chuck it up to being old. Sometimes things just stop working because things we cant see start to breakdown.

At least the Parts part is impossible with some components like CPU and GPU/CHipset of this system.

And I highly doubt that you have a BGA Rework machine because they cost a couple of thousand dollars.

If money is no cost then I would try buying another original xbox, soft mod it, connect your hard drive and see if you can transfer over your save data.
