Minimum required is MB, memory and CPU, if your PSU is good enough (very likely is).  Your GPU is a bit better than Vega 11 integrated into the 2400G APU.  Pricing would be based on whether you were ok with Gen1 Ryzen or required Gen2 Ryzen.

Ryzen 5 1600/2600 with B350 mobo and some DDR4 (8GB at least, 16GB if you have the budget) is the best value option for you.

then dont blame us for not warning you. Questionable ones like these can blow up at random and wont protect from accidents like a power surge.

Most Ryzen budget CPUs are still slower than Sandy Bridge's high end. The Xeon E3 1240 can be found for around $50US and beats the entire Ryzen 3 lineup without overclock. The i7 2600K destroys the Ryzen 3 lineup and kills Ryzen 5.

With such a small budget, just buy a 1060 3gb (or 6gb if you can find it on sale) and call it a day

my asus board gave up on me last week how much would you want for yours? i live in uk so i understand if you cant post out off the us48?

i built a ryzen 5 2600 and it seems a lot more faster and more responsive than my old i7 3770k  but it did cost me just over £500 but you could build on for cheaper if you go for 8 gig ramm instead off 16 and go for a b motherboard instead off a x470

"Only have an H60"

I "only have" a cheap 240mm AiO that was built in china by starving children. You don't need "exotic" cooling, a Hyper 212 can keep a 120W CPU under 60 degrees with proper paste.

I'm on Haswell so I can't really say anything about Intel's TIM.

Never mind. But there's this. Is there a reason to upgrade? I don't think so, personally. A lot of people are still using 3770Ks.

The i7-2600k is roughly equal to the R5-1400, had both at the same time.  i7 at 4.6 was about like the R5 at 3.9, with a minor ST lead for the i7 and a minor MT lead for the R5.

E3-1240 can only OC ~5%, have one of those currently.  Also have an E3-1280 running 105 BCLK which is only a bit better than the R5 at stock.  Unlike the non-k i5/i7 chips you cant do the 4 bin/turbo OC at all on the Xeons.  The E3-1280 boosting to roughly 4ghz gets a ST CB15 score of 137 where the R5 at 3.9ghz was getting something like 170.  R5 1400 stock gets around 130-140.  In MT the SB chips get stomped hard.  950 was doable on the R5 at 3.9ghz with some memory tweaking where the E3-1280 with its 5% OC gets 680.

These options are, for sure, better for the money (got the E3-1280 for $75 and a MB for $40), but overall performance is lower.

i wouldnt off upgraded except for the price off second hand motherboards being more expensive than a new motherboard so  i decided to do an upgrade

by the way the youtube vide is compairing the r5 2400g to the i7 3770k the r5 2400g is better in most off the test compared to the 3770k and its not the chip im using which has 2 extra cores and dosent have intergrated graphics that the r5 2400g does
