Which monitor is better between these two?

LG

I think you should go for the LG for the sunlight reason

LG makes the actual panels themselves.

LG

Acer H236HL Bid http://www.amazon.ca/Acer-H236HL-bid-23-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00AZMLIDQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

vs

LG 23EA63V http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/lg-electronics-lg-23-widescreen-ips-led-monitor-with-5ms-response-time-23ea63v-23ea63v/10236513.aspx?path=f7c069b5f013c014677c3e72c8919230en02

The LG panel is 20 dollars more. I also don't really know how to calibrate a monitor properly so does anyone know which is better out of the box pre-calibrated? . Also I do sit right next to a window that does have blinds but might allow sun to get through and there is a white tube light. Will the glossy screen on the Acer monitor give glare and if so how much and will it be distracting?

Overall, which one do you think is better?

Thanks for the replies guys i'll go with the LG monitor. Yes that is true that LG makes the panel themselves so it probably is better going with them :D

It's still really thin. The physical bezel is thin so it looks really nice. The thicker mask underneath the screen is still quite thin.

I'd get the Acer display for the better stand.

If a glossy screen is a problem, an AOC monitor would be nice with the matte screen: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160167CVF&AID=10657534&PID=3938566&SID=&nm_mc=AFC-C8junctionCA
