First time posting here so not sure if this is the right section.

Since last weekend I am a customer of PIA, so far I have had no speed issues at all. Very good.

I was just wondering is it usefull to use the PIA VPN app and PIA Chrome Extension together? Pros/cons?

I had 2 small issues with PIA Chrome extension so far:

- 'Disable website referrer' enabled -> Twitter website is not accessible (but I think this is a Twitter issue)

- 'Disable third-party cookies' enabled -> Google login button did not show for me on this website: https://amplify.nginx.com/

So in general I am asking if I should use PIA VPN app and PIA Chrome extension together.
And if anyone has had any simular issues with PIA Chrome extension.

I haven't used the chrome extension, so don't know about that. But. if you're using the VPN app, then ALL your web traffic should be routing through the VPN, so no need to use both the vpn app and extension together.

The Chrome extension isn't a VPN, it has other features:

Block tracking cookies and WebRTC

Block camera and microphone

...

It doesn't encrypt your connection but it does hide your IP adress, plus it adds additional privacy measurements that the VPN app doesn't do.
