Honor 8 Lite frame is bent.

I bought a new Huawei Honor 8 Lite (P8 Lite) a couple of months ago and during the winter, I fell a couple of times with my phone in my hand. The first time the screen got cracked a little, but it didn't bother me. Later on, I fell again, this time very hard while trying to touch the ground with my hands, my phone in my hand. I got scared that the screen got cracked again, but it didn't. Later on I took the silicone cover off and noticed that the frame has bent on the right side rather badly, with the back glass panel slightly loose and the screen "popping out". This obviously won't go under warranty, so I was wondering if I should just buy a new phone? Most likely the repair means just scrapping it and replacing it with a new one.

I'd replace it. It's hooped.

Also maybe pay more attention to where you're walking during the winter

Hah i have p8 lite and it got bent too, not that much but a small bent, i got mines bent form cycling, allways had it my pocket so it got the shape of my leg they are made from very thin aluminium so it will get bent even if u replace it whit new parts. Try to buy a hard case, maybe it will be usable for a while.

Really sucks mate, but can't expect much if you fall with the phone...

 

Have you check Aliexpress for a new frame? You can have them for a couple of bucks.

the good thing from chinese phones is you can find/buy all the parts needed to fix them yourself or through a shop (and when I say all parts, i really mean ALL parts...)

 

or maybe it's too bothersome/expensive and you prefer getting a new one.

check the reviews, sometimes the sellers are crap, or the item doesn't match the description. But yes, you can have ANY part you want for most chinese phones from aliexpress. Battery, camera, screen, headphone jack, charger, frame, back, sim tray, etc. I think only part you can't get is the motherboard.
