Hey,
I'm looking to build a gaming PC on a budget, and have created a list. Here's the link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8FNJbX

Processor
I chose the ryzen 5 for the low price and good performance. I also like the extra performance boost available by overclocking ram.
Cooler
I think the Hyper 212 EVO is a good cooler that will provide good overclocks and good temps.
Motherboard
This is the one on which I am most uncertain. I was hoping for better than 4+1 power (at least, that's what I count on a board picture), but the ASRocks have problems with overclocking (especially memory). Please let me know if you know of a good, budget AM4 option.
RAM
The price is extortionate, but that is the case with essentially all RAM right now. I went for higher-end RAM because I would like the performance benefits from overclocking. If you know of a cheaper 16gb ram kit that works well with ryzen and can overclock to 3200mhz, please let me know.
Storage
SSD
The SK Hynix supposedly has consistent read/write performance and a smoother speed curve than competitors (comparable to the Samsung 850 EVO). It also supposedly has decent endurance. Seems like a good choice.
HDD
The WD Caviar Blue seems like a good option. Any cheaper/better options?
Graphics Card
The 1070Ti is really a stand-in. Nvidia locked down the card to keep it from competing with the 1080, and I would prefer not to purchase a model that is that heavily locked. If budget permits, I'd like to go up to the 1080.
Case
I'm actually doing this build for a friend, and he likes this particular case for its clean, black aesthetic. Let me know if you have cheaper, reliable recommendations with a similar look.
PSU
I was happy to find a decent modular power supply for such a low price. Is there some catch I don't know about with this or a better option at a lower price?
Wireless Card
A good, cheap option with 802.11ac support.
Extra fans
These fans are highly rated in terms of airflow with low noise at a decent price point. The case mentioned above only comes with 2 open slots anyway.

So you may have noticed a recurring theme throughout this: I'm hoping for the holy trinity of decent performance, low price, and reasonable quality. Super performance is not imperative, but this is intended to be used for videogames. I'm most unsure of the motherboard choice, followed by the RAM. Any advice on a cheaper model that will allow good performance is helpful. I'd like the end budget to be around $1,100.
Thanks for the help!

Go for the stock cooler.

Why not choose the 2600/2600X?

2 things:

1) get the r5 1600 and OC it. no need for the X, doesn't do anything for you. also why not get the ryzen 2 series chips?

2) motherboard: why not get a b-series board? unless you need SLI, not really necessary.

I won't really comment much more cause i hate all the comment wars that ensue in this build suggestion threads. best of luck :)

This is fine and you don't even need a x370 motherboard, why not get x470 if you are going with the 2600 too @potterandy96

Look at the mobo price, it's cheaper than most good B350 boards
