Is a GTX 1080 for 1440p144fps?

needlestrike

sorta ish

not high/ultra, but good enough (medium-high modern gaming)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Sorta not really. Great for 1440p@60, 1080ti is better for 1440p@144 at High-Ultra settings.

I'd say in 90% of stuff yes. 1080 ti would be better. 1080 won't do 1440p 144fps on Ultra in most modern demanding AAA games. Fortnite, yes, PUBG no.

My 1070 can't generally get past 100fps at 1080p in PUBG, I think that's a bit of an outlier.

TBH, you'll be happier at 60 frames but ultra anit-aliasing, as well as having an extra 200-300 bucks in your pocket.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
