You could use a website like PCPartPicker to graph the prices, but just to give an example.

A couple days ago I came across a list of myself from Nov. 2016, detailing the PC I wanted and it had this on it:

Quote

MSI rx 470 8GB = 255,75
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2400MHz (2x8GB) = 91,54

Prices in Euros. That same videocards has been followed up by the RX 570 which is still hard to get by and if you do find it, you're probably paying 350 euros+ for it. The memory nowadays is about 170-180 euros.

Videocards are harder to come by and RX 580, GTX 1060 and higher level of GPU's are just more expensive and memory has just doubled in price.

If they were found at all, even before miners discovered they were good at mining when undervolted, AMD struggled with availability.
