Connect two fans w splitter in a laptop

Mau93

Hello, I have an HP Omen 2016 laptop. It has two fans but only one of them is working all the time, the other one is working only at 100 - 200 rpm even during stress tests over cpu, gpu and combined  nor using autodesk applications (I use it for architectural work most of the time).

I tried to contact hp but

Spoiler

They solve nothing

I searched for more information but this seems to be a problem over all the laptops sharing that form factor and there’s no way to control the fans with external software.

So so I’m planning to connect both fans in the same pwm port (4 pines) with a splitter but I don’t want to burn my motherboard because I don’t know if that port has the same resistance than one in a desktop soooo I’m here to have some good answers about this.

Help.

Wel, actually the question is about using a splitter with the fans of a laptop and the posible risks, not how lowering the temps but thanks.

I was expecting more of the Linus spirit from this community.
