Upgrade or second PC

Beast570

So I currently am a streamer smaller than a partner but been thinking of doing some upgrades my current build is:

I7 7700k

16gb ddr4 Ramm

EVGA 1060 6gb

x2 1 tb samsung 850 SSD

Thermaltake 650 power supply

Cheap ASUS Motherboard

Was thinking for a while that I should upgrade the CPU and the Motherboard and the Ramm but after talking to some friends said it would be best to build a second PC and make it a streaming PC so not sure on what would be the best option the upgraded CPU I was thinking was an I7 8700k with upgraded motherboard, Ramm any info or suggestions would be awesome Budget for upgrades is a 1000 dollar's.

A secondary streaming PC would could more than just upgrading your PC

But you don't need to upgrade just use NVENC in OBS or use shadowplay to stream

If you really want to upgrade grab an R7 2700/X when they launch on April 19th. 8 cores at likely 10% faster than current Ryzen .

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Really the 7700K is still a beast, especially for gaming so I wouldn't recommend upgrading that.  If I was in your situation I'd get a cheap streaming PC, like maybe a used haswell Dell, put a good capture card in it, and then upgrade the GPU in your main PC.

Budget streaming PC with an external Elgato HD 60 S would be a great combination, as the 2nd PC would take the encoding load off the main rig.  Not too old or low-power, but an i5-2400 or older Xeon should fill the bill nicely.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W
