I would go for a 580 or 1060

They're double the price, though.

try to find yourself a good deal on a used 970 if you are willing to go the used route and arent concerned with efficiency

Depends where you live. But 1050ti won't run PUBG super well.

Any upgrade is good, only if you willing to afford it.

as for performance increase, spending $180-200 for maximum 30% increase, for me it's not worth it.

Here in the Netherlands, a 1050Ti costs €180-200 and a GTX1060 6GB is around €340-400. 8GB 580s are around the €380-400 mark. But yeah, a 1050Ti isn't much of a AAA gaming card. A 2nd hand 970 would be better.

I have a 1050ti and honestly, the only game I have not been able to run well is PUBG. I can get close to 60 fps but it looks like ass and the view distance is terrible

How do you figure? I've built quite a few PCs with 1050tis (and even regular 1050s) and they run PUBG fine @ 1080p 60. Last PC I built that had one of those cards had a 1050 mated to an i5 2500k and was running PUBG @ 60fps at the same resolution as well. Sure you might not be able to max out every setting, but for PUBG I think those cards are plenty. Same goes for Fortnite or GTA V or even OW and LoL.

That being said, I'd rather find a used 970 like mentioned since you'd be able to get way better performance vs a new 1050ti for the same price.

If you currently have a 950... then the best upgrades for you that would be reasonable in price would be the following USED options.

780, 780ti, 970, 980, 1060 3gb.

That is also the order from cheapest to most expensive option.

That being said you can pick up a used 780 for like 60-100 USD. Which is about 85% faster than your 950 and about 75% faster than the 1050. The 780TI is about 30-35% faster than the 780. The 970 is inbetween the 780 and 780TI in performance. The 980 is about 20% faster than the 780ti... and the 1060 3gb is slightly slower than the 980, but also newer hardware.

If you play a lot of games that are RAM intensive, the extra 2GB the 1050 Ti has over the 950 is good to have. You will also get a slight improvement in FPS.

Personally, I would look towards a 970 first and see if the pricing is close to the 1050 Ti. If so, get that.
