Does 100mhz make a difference?

I just got a nice deal on a 1060 6gb last week *FIRE* but my G4400 is holding it back, my only budget left for upgrade is for a G4560 but I heard it still bottleneck the 1060 for a little bit. Then i saw G4600 100mhz higher than G4560 for only 8$ more. Will the G4600's slightly higher clock help alleviate bottllenecking???

on the CPU? not enough that you would want to spend the money on it

if it's bottlenecking, yes, any little bit will help, but what you really need is 2 more actual cores.  As said above, I wouldn't go spending significantly more for it when you could save for something a lot better.  It'll help, but not that much.

Yeah it's not a realistic upgrade opportunity at the moment _{(shh don't tell him about this)} but still worth noting.  Generally speaking, the "i5 minimum" doesn't really apply anymore imo because of what I said.

$8 is enough for a day's meals, if you can afford to spend it, do it. But you'd benefit from an i5 wayyy more.

secend,G4400,or skylake is interesting,you could try to overclocking cpu's external clock,外频

last,i think 8 dollar is not a big one for american,maybe

i am using an G4560,for about ＄46.792,￥295.

 

The biggest difference between G4600 and G4560 is the HD630 and HD610,i think

0.1Ghz can't change anything,I think.

Gah, so used to the older G series.

 

8$ for 100mhz then... Probably not worth it.  ~10% price for ~3% performance unless I'm missing something.  i3 looks to be roughly double the price for 10%-20% more performance, hmmm.

 

Honestly I would just get the 4560 after looking at comparisons.  Though only if I was looking to upgrade to i5/7 later.  R3 1200/2200g also has merits at the low end if you don't already have the platform, mainly because it can be overclocked.  R3 looks to be something like 50% faster with overclocking and 25%-35% faster without an OC.  Price/performance is roughly equal between the two.
