Stupid question, but I am building a new rig with a Ryzen 7 1800x run under a NZXT Kraken X62.... do i need to add aditional thermal paste, or does the AIO come with whats needed on it?

If you're going for water cooling with such a high performance CPU i'd say even if it's included you should get some high quality paste for maximum performance.

this isn't a troll statement cuz I got snarky is it?

Man on an AIO level you wont get any huge improvements with expensive paste... The 1800x is soldered so any 240 AIO will serve the temps well. Think about thermal paste when you do a custom loop. If you really want some quality paste thats not that expensive get the Arctic MX4. Also OC headroom wont increase over 4.1 GHZ anyway

Was just being cautious, my first custom build in years and had someone earlier with questionable info..... wasn't calling you out, was just asking for clarification. Just want to make sure I'm not under doing anything ya know.... like I said its been almost 2 decades.

would love to, but the crosshair 6 extreme with the 1800x are already in my room waiting to be installed.... the only shit my system is waiting on is the thermal paste because I didn't know if it was safe to use the pre installed shit

if im not going to overclock atm and just went for high end shit, still think the same way? and does anyone know if this cooler comes pre-gooed

You can "google Kraken x62 unboxing". Spoiler: yes.

If you are to replace it, yes. No need, though. Save that for when you remove the cooler and need to reapply, if ever.
