Bend pins scam?

On ebay I see alot of motherboards that are broken and the seller says bend pins. Isn't this a trick that if a mobo fails they do like it''s ez fix while its dead?

What? Theyre selling something broken and they label it as broken, nothing wrong with that

I would never buy from a seller selling a broken mobo. I've seen broken lga1150 mobos going to $50. its insane.

"broken, probably easy fix" is probably the easiest way for people to sell E-waste for a profit..

I think what he's trying to say is that the seller knows that there's bigger issues with the mobos, but bends the pins purposely and sells as broken with bent pins, easy fix!

 

Personally would still steer very clear of them, I'm more likely to look at sales from people that don't know what the problem is for a few bucks, those it might be worth the gamble to see if there are any easy fiixes that they just weren't knowledgeable about to fix.. but TBH most people would probably recycle or dump it rather than waste time dealing with people on ebay.

To me its a scam on the merit of selling something broken. Unless it can be repaired it should be recycled.
