Which Alienware 15 version?

Hey guys,

 

I was going to go and buy the Alienware 15 with 1070 and 7700hq tonight, then I found out Alienware is selling the 8750h version.

 

My question is, should I spend the extra $600 and wait a month for the 8750h i7 version, or save the money and put it towards an external 4k monitor?

 

I will mostly be doing ms office related workloads, heavy Adobe Lightroom use,  and some gaming while traveling.

I'd buy it now. Waiting isn't worth it IMO. I'd save the money for something else.

I'd wait.

The performance difference is huge. Though, if you don't need that performance, then I'd buy now.
Which honestly it doesn't really sound like you do.

Wait, even just because they'll likely discount the 7th gen versions very soon as well, so if you went with that (which you probably shouldn't) you'd save some extra money.
