Hi guys,

I want to paint the intercooler on my car to try and hide it, what kind of primer do I use? I've read around and people are saying use etch primer for aluminum but VHT recommend their high heat primer since they don't have a high heat etch primer and if there is one available then I should use that. So what do you guys recon? Etch or high heat primer, maybe even both?

A high heat primer would work, if it doesn't get overly hot say past 100C you can use regular self etching primer.
