it should. your 450 watt gaming PC doesn't draw 450 watts at idle/shutdown/startup. Maybe 200 peak if I had to guess.

I was recently givin an APC backups 550. I would like to know if this will be able to support my 450watt gaming pc for a little bit while I shut it down. Will it work?

If you google the specs page for your specific APC unit, the APC webpage has a runtime graph based on load.

At full load, you'll only get around 3 minutes. At 200W, you're getting close to 10 minutes.

Keep in mind, of course, that this UPS maxes out at 330W, so if your system is in the middle of a game, for example, and is drawing anywhere close to 340-450W, and the UPS will likely just power off immediately if you experience a power outage.

If you're just browsing the web, or the computer is idle, you should be well under 330W.
