Hello, everyone,

I want to start streaming games like Fortnite, PUBG, Final fantasy 15, Tom Clancy's etc on twitch and YT. I already have an suitable PC for these gaming. now i want to build an secondary PC specifically for streaming.

I have already used majority of my funds in building the gaming PC so I'm low on budget here and that's why i just want to build a streaming PC with the minimal requirements which can stream atleast at 60fps/720p. I'll be using an capture card to record my game from the primary pc to the secondary pc.

At this moment I'm very confused about which processor to use and having a separate GPU  on the streaming PC. I have mentioned the models of the processors I'm considering to use in my streaming PC. Please help me to choose the right one.

  1. Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake
  2. Intel Core i3-3220
  3. AMD FX-6300
  4. AMD A8-7600 Kaveri Quad-Core

I'm purchasing these parts in India. I want to finish off the PC within the range of approx. $230 (Rs 15000). This PC will only be use for streaming and it'll only run the necessary streaming software like the obs and all, nothing else. So i really don't want to put so much money in it.

Please help me to select one of those processors and if there is any other processor from your side that you want to recommend kindly let me know. I'll be delighted to have your suggestion. And also i'd like to know which is the bare minimum processor for streaming purposes.

Thank you.!!

Whats your currentl system? id try streaming at that first, to see if you like it, then spend money when you know you like it and have a audence. Most people don't stream very often and will get very few viewers.

Uhm...getting another computer is definitely not the first step

you need capture card first, and it's not cheap.

You can do it over the network often, and use the streaming pc for the main h264 encode.

Thats more than enough for streaming, have you tried streaming? Nvenc will let you stream with very little cpu usage.

Just try streaming first, this system can do it. Download obs and see how it goes. No reason to spend money yet. Using OBS on this system would probably be similar or better quality than a pentium on a second system.

You have nvenc so none of the encoding is done on the cpu.

and decent upload bandwidth

I'll be using a capture card Avermedia c875. it's lying on my home without any use  and yeah like electronics wizardy said it can be done through network too.

actually my friend tried to stream final fantasy 15 with that config which didn't go well. even with 15 mbps up speed. So that's why i'm thinking about making an separate dedicated streaming pc which will take the streaming load from my primary pc.

have you tried it on your pc yet? It was probably just incorrect settings. Download and give OBS a shot.

Alright. I'll try that today itself but what will be your budget cpu suggestion if it doesn't go well.?

id look for a used fx8xxx cpu. There found very cheap often, faster than the dual core intels or quad core ryzens in x264.

But really, you don't need a 2 system setup, wait till you get a audence, this system can easily do it.

and if i combine it with saphire radeon r5 1gb ddr3 or gtx 710 2gb ddr3? cause i have both of them lying in the corner.

Those gpu's won't help at all as there too low end to have the video encoding unity onboard. just try your pc first.

a good amount slower, and worse than just using nvenc on your pc.
