The Strix line is like that. For Z370 they have the E (highest end), F (step down), G (mATX), H (overpriced piece of trash) and I (mITX).

I'm sure he'll want more sales on the E and F, so if people get those instead of the H, we'll both be happy. Probably more margins on the higher end stuff. 

The H annoys me a bit, just because of its existence. If it didn't exist, I could simply recommend any Z370 Strix motherboard.

What is wrong with the H-board?

The Z370-H is suppose to be the cheaper alternative.

You get cut-down features, and a less rigorous VRM system.

 

The price gaps between the E, F, and H are priced so they are ~$20 apart

If I get a wireless PCI-E wireless card, then I wouldn’t need the WiFi feature, right?

Yes, correct.

The Z370-E has wireless built into the motherboard.

It will be redundant -- you only need one or the other. 

 

Visually, aside form the different overall colour, the Z370-E is exactly the same as the Z370-F, but with built-in Wi-Fi.

VRM should be the same.

It has a crappy 4-phase VRM, that's the main thing. Same as on one of the TUF boards. And it looks hideous, imo. 

It's a budget board that's priced too high. If it cost about the same as the entry level boards (MSI Z370A, Prime P etc) I wouldn't mind. But it's in the same price class as actually good boards.

From looking at Asus' site, it also has a few overclocking related features and an front USB 3.1 gen 2 header. Might be something more, I just skimmed through the spec page.

The O.G. TUF boards were actually good, sad to see what had happened to them.

...P67 Sabertooth...Z77 Sabertooth...man...

Now it's some B350 TUF board...thing...
