300 point difference in Cinebench scores on two 8700k. Why?

you can check your actual coreclock with CPU-Z, you have to rightclick in the box where your coreclock is. Will look like this:

PS:

Some OEM boards are known for not being able to deliver enough power to the CPU for overclocking. The "manufacturers" of these Boards state, that they only followed Intels 95w TDP guidelines while engineering.

Also some Boards especially MSI and Gigabyte boards do need Bios updates, early versions are bugged. 

Your Cinebench score difference is most likely due to VRM throttling or Software/Bios issues/settings.

The Cinebench score for 5GHz should always be >1600 on the 8700k. If its not you either have done something wrong or using the cheapest DDR4-2133.

its pretty easy to figure out that the issue is due to bad overclocking, i mean i can already tell by reading this:
