warranty is 3 years for intel cpus in europe, unless overclocked (but they can't figure out if you did, obviously).

And no, I doubt they will. You need a purchase proof with the date the cpu was bought, otherwise, nothing (the original purchase date, not the second hand one).

thanks.

i was asking because the cpu came out in Q1 2017 so there is no possibility it's more than the 2 year Europe general warranty. They could facilitate without the invoice.

They is a big chance Intel will say "Go to the place you bought it at" as is customary in the EU and there will be a big chance the store will say "Show us your receipt".

Yes, you have three years of warranty on Intel CPU's, but that won't help if no one will process the warranty.

I don't know. But here in europe we don't go see the manufacturer to get a replacemenet anyway, you need to do it through the seller. So if you bought the cpu via Amazon, it's amazon who has to take care of the warranty, not Intel. Some manufacturers such as Toshiba will refuse to even talk to you and tell you "contact your seller". you're better off avoiding issues and just buying something else, new or with proof of purchase, and avoid a headache afterwards.
