Ryzen build planned, i don't think i will do any overclocking, just tell me what you think,

Ryzen 2200G/2400G/1300X/1200(unsure so far)

MSI A320M Bazooka

2pcs DDR4 8GB 3000MHz Ram

overkill ram? suggest processor pls.

If you do not plan on doing any overclock then your build is just fine. The ram sticks are not overkill for your build just because Ryzen loves high frequency ram, and in your situation, if you go with Ryzen APUs, the integrated graphics will do the job very well.

I would pick Ryzen 2400G

 || CPU: Intel i5-8600K || Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212X || Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P || GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050ti OC Windforce 4GB || Memory: 16GB Crucial DDR4 3000mhz || HDD: WD Black 500GB + Seagate Barracuda 2TB || SSD: Samsung 980 1TB || PSU: Corsair VS550 || Case: nJoy Ice Cage || Fans: Segotep Halo Ring RGB ||Monitor: 2x Dell 27" P2717H IPS Full HD || Second Monitor/TV: LG 49UJ620V UHD || Mouse: Logitech G502 || Keyboard: Logitech G810 + Royal Kludge RK84 || Speakers: Philips SPA-5300 subw + Arylic 2.1 + DIY Bookshelves w/ Dayton Audio || Headphones: HyperX Cloud Flight S ||

TO BE UPGRADED:

>> Headphones << >> Keyboard << >> HDD << >> Mouse << >> PC Case << >> Memory(another stick) << >> Graphics Card <<

You want an APU, the R3 2200G is the best value, if you plan to add a GPU at some point and can afford the R5 2500G go for that

Do not buy a crap motherboard, especially not A chipset, get the ASrock Pro4 at minimum, may need a BIOS update, it at least has some VRM heatsinks. Overclocking the APUs is trivial and is free performance.

You probably don't need 16GBs of RAM, but you do want the fastest RAM you can get, 3000mhz is pretty good. If you want to upgrade to an 8 core in the future and can afford 16gbs go for it I suppose.

I dont plan to upgrade for at least 2 or 3 years, so, have any suggestions? Are 4 ram slots overkill?

You only want to use 2 sticks of RAM for the most speed

Get the R3 2200G then, because newer better options will be out by then, likely worth the money saved.

Okay, what if i match the 2200G with an Asrock AB350M Pro4

Should be pretty alright for light 1080p gaming, just ask your retailer if the BIOS is updated for raven ridge.

If the build will be in use for years it's better to invest in higher end hardware.

Well, what's your budget?  Do you want a discrete gpu (1050 ti, 580, whatever)

my currency here is really volatile, so i check prices everyday, 3k myr excluding psu and storage. I'm only considering a gpu to cut some corners

Try and get a 1400 or 1600 with a 1050 ti or better.  Decent budget psus are the cx 2017 models, evga bq and most be quiet models

Okay, i already have a decent psu. What if i use the 2200G for now and only put in a gpu in the future?

That’d work well. A used 680/780/ti, 7950/70 and the like are still excellent for 1080p gaming. I’m running a used 680 in my rig and I’ve been very happy.

That's an F in the profile pic

If you go that route a 2400g will have better long term viability
