My download speed is about 5-10mbps while my upload is around 1mbps.

Should i even consider buying this?

Are they the speeds that you get through the router itself, or the speed you're measuring at your PC/laptop?

Some routers have a linkspeed displayed, and whilst this isn't a real world value, it can help in determining if they are running to spec. eg if you had 76Mbit package and your router shows 80000Kbps it's running to spec.

If you are currently using wifi, plug an ethernet cable from your PC to the router and run a speed test, as above. This won't be a fix all kind of situation, as there possibly might be problems with the ethernet/pc/router, but in the initial troubleshooting stage it's a good idea to start with that.
