Editing/gaming Gift build

I built this for a friend (super budget based) as a gift, since hes starting to get into streaming, editing and pc gaming. 

 

Specs: 

5820k

X99 ud3 gigabyte

16gb adata xpg 2800

980ti HOF

120GB KINGFAST ssd

1tb Seagate hdd 7200

Celsius s36

650w cougar psu

Inwin 303

Nzxt hue+

 

Basically spent the last 6 months piecing it together, getting deals. 

Got a 32gb 8x4gb kit of the xpg for 110$, and used half in this, half in my ryzen build. 

Motherboard is missing it's top PCIE slot, so I got that for free from a shop.

Case was 40$ on ebay, dent in the front, hammered that out and covered the scuff with stars I know he'll like. 

5820k was 160$, facebook marketplace.

S36 and psu bought off newegg.

980ti was 290$, pretty bummed to spend that much but hey, what can you do! I have a razer capture card, a c920 webcam, a few other things I'm sending him with the tower when he gets a new apartment with room for it.

Thanks man, I'm just trying to help him get off the consoles and I like to build, one of his sister's sent me 50$ to help out, and it's taken me forever it feels like to get it together. I want to cut out his gamer tag and put it on the inside edge of the glass for him before I send it.

Thanks in the past 2 years I've bought 104gb of ddr4 and spent less than 400$ on it total. 1 set of 4x4 is getting iffy. Geil forza 2133

And a dead stick of team Vulcan after playing with bent pin boards.

Thanks! Im trying my hand at cable sleeving, if i get a few right enough, ill put some in for the gpu at least. He seems pretty happy,  even before this! he'll be waiting a while till he gets it though, lack of space now and all.
