E8500 cooling

What is a good cooler for E8500 Socket 775 CPU? I have a Thermaltake CL-PO497 standard aluminum heatsink with 92mm fan on it. I am wondering if that is enough. I was playing GTA4 ang it seem to have throttled back to 3GHz from it's rated 3.16 Ghz while playing. I noted stuttering after around 15 minutes. CPU hit 68 c. I had Hardware monitor running.I went with Tin for reading.

Clean and repaste, the CPU is 10 years old after all.

I don't believe Intel chips back then even had thermal throttling. If it was really throttling, it would be much more than a difference of just 160MHz. 68c for a CPU isn't terrible when under load.

Fresh build. Not too bad for load. Just wondering. It is only 2 cores. I have seen crystallized past from that era, to the point where it was powder. I used the fresh pad on the heatsink. It was new.

Anything that you can find. Some of more popular coolers like 212 Evo and TX3 have support for 775.
