Hey just wanted advice on my OC profile I got currently, I'm not sure if my voltage is a bit high (Asus AI Suite wanted it to be like 1.55v and I said hell no) even after this adjustment.

-Ryzen 5 1600X (OC to 4.1)

-16 GB Trident Z 3000 mhz (OC to 3146)

-Asus Strix Gaming X370-F motherboard

-MSI Core Frozr L (push pull setup)

-MSI GTX 1080 GAMING X (OC I'll check later... It's stable and cool though)

NOTE: Tons of airflow in CM Storm Trooper case but I'm about to get the Thermaltake Core P3 in a week (I hope) so I gotta make sure an open air chassis will support my OC (as is or toned down if you guys think it's overkill). I'll liquid cool eventually but I'm waiting on that for now

I would advise running this, seeing if it is stable, then starting on your own manually using that as a guide/source of info:

  • I only adjust the BCLK once I cannot push the ratio/multiplier further.
  • I wouldn't bother cranking RAM voltage past the std 1.35 for under 150MHz, doesn't seem worth the heat.
  • That CPU voltage I personally might not entertain for too long, maybe 1.45 if I plan to use the CPU for over a year. But that's just my comfort level. I don't expect it to die on you, but that's just my personal preference.

But I definitely recommend starting with a BCLK at 100, and only bumping it up after you cannot get the multiplier to go any higher.

Main Rig: R9 5950X @ PBO, RTX 3090, 64 GB DDR4 3666, InWin 101, Full Hardline Watercooling

Server: R7 1700X @ 4.0 GHz, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB DDR4 3000, Cooler Master NR200P, Full Soft Watercooling

LAN Rig: R5 3600X @ PBO, RTX 2070, 32 GB DDR4 3200, Dan Case A4-SFV V4, 120mm AIO for the CPU

HTPC: i7-7700K @ 4.6 GHz, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200, AliExpress K39, IS-47K Cooler

Router: R3 2200G @ stock, 4GB DDR4 2400, what are cases, stock cooler

I don't have a problem...

1.48V is way, way too high. AMD advises you not go above 1.425 and that's because you get silicon degradation beyond that.

Leave the chip at 1.4V and 4.0 GHz and you'll never notice a performance difference, you'll use substantially less power, and your CPU and VRM will be much cooler.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Yea... AI Suite wanted me to run 4.2 gHz @ 1.55 v and yet did nothing to my ram. (could I push the ram more you think?) and I'll drop the cpu to 4 not 4.1 using that info. I just wanted to beat out my brother's 7700k in raw numerical performance (and did so quite well) but wasn't thinking about the components. But my 720p monitor kinda cheats the system and I'm gonna get a better monitor soon so this is probably not the most accurate
