T4300, T4400, T4500 for example, but these just raise the CPU clock slightly, won't give any major boost.

Question is if the CPU is upgradable at all, it might be soldered to the board.

Secondly, these CPUs may be really hard to find.

Odds are anything he can upgrade to (if the CPU isn't soldered in) isn't worth it. Almost no laptops were ever made to be upgradeable, and the ones that were/are upgradeable are usually so expensive that the rich owners just toss it in the garbage after they get tired of it and buy a new one.

Looks like the CPU is removable, but as mentioned above, the work and $$$ might not be worth it.

Nothing that'll give a noticeable bump in performance. I mean, you'd be better off hanging out near an electronics recycling facility and asking people to give their old PCs to you.

or take your expertise if you're comfortable upgrading a laptop CPU, and start repairing and setting PCs up for the inept, make some money, and get something worth a dime with that $$$
