Welp not having my first build

yup its too bad.. really need to upgrade my quadro. if i hear nothing about it between now and 2 weeks, i'll grab the p4000 and see if it does the job (i'm sure it will tho, but last gen is allways nicer to have)

Really disappointing, there are also rumors the next generation of cards may cost more.

I think the reasons for Nvidia not wanting to release next-gen GPUs are, Nvidia can keep selling Pascal cards as the miners are buying up everything, and Nvidia is waiting for Samsung and other RAM manufacturers to catch up on the memory shortage.

I'd say if you need a GPU for a build now, look around for a used card,or sign up for all the email lists you can from GPU manufacturers.

1080ti is amazing but not the 4k resolution power house promised. I believe its a matter of just waiting now until there is competition, which after VEGA, shan't be arriving any time soon i will presume.

I once did the unthinkable, back many headphones ago...

I split an audio split, again

no competition, no rush.

Actually NV couldnt benefit more from this. They are selling old tech while keeping a wide margin of profit, no need to push extra hours for their designers and games are slowly switching towards NV just because AMD market share is low.

NV is living the dream, just like Intel was during the FX dark ages.
