You can do it now or later, in disk management you can find the partition and change it back to part of the primary partition.Untitled.png.bdba7df1094cc0814a41a96fd96a589a.png

Hello! So I'm installing Windows for the first time on my new build and I got to the screen I attached. My 1TB shows up as only 693GB. I have a recovered image of my old PC on there which was about 200GB give or take. Will I be able to free up that space after my system is up and running or should I format the 1TB drive before I continue?

Drive 0 Partition 4: Crow - 236,6GB

Drive 0 Unallocated Space - 693,0GB

236,6+693= 929,6GB

I um... I was only looking at the free space. I think I need a break. Thanks a bunch!

I just built a PC and I downloaded Windows to a USB drive but when I go to boot from it I keep getting this screen. Is something wrong with my drive? It's in NTFS, should I try FAT32?

How did you create the installation media? Try using Rufus to create the installation media.

I used the Microsoft website, just like any other time. I'll try out Rufus though.

Their media creation tool has been having issues as of late. So yea, just download the ISO from the creation tool (select the burn to DVD option as it'll save the ISO locally) and use Rufus.
